Leigh Shambo, MSW is a clinical therapist and educator whose first career was horse training. Leigh is widely recognized for her articulation of the horse-human bond and its application in therapeutic and learning programs for a variety of ages and diagnostic groups, and for her research on the effectiveness of EFP for survivors of trauma. She is the founder and lead therapist for Human-Equine Alliances for Learning. Leigh is an Epona Advanced Facilitator, and also maintains membership in EAGALA and EFMHA and in professional Social Work organizations. Assistant facilitator Angela Dunning is an EFL practitioner in Shropshire, England whose background includes working with refugees and asylum-seekers including trauma survivors.
